Las Vegas is the world’s most famous gaming city. Over the years, it has built a reputation for being the place to go to party, celebrate special occasions, and enjoy a night of blackjack, roulette, or craps.
In fact, the entire existence of the city is the result of casinos and the tiny settlements that sprung up in the desert to offer entertainment to the workers constructing the nearby Hoover Dam.
Over the years, Las Vegas has innovated time and time again so that it can continue to offer new and exciting things for its visitors to do.
It has done this inside the casinos, creating new variants of games that change the way they are played. For example, blackjack insurance adds an additional element for players to consider, posing them a new challenge. It does this by giving them the chance to buy insurance against the possibility of the dealer having blackjack.
The city has also innovated outside the casinos, creating exciting attractions and putting on unique events for visitors to enjoy.
Formula 1
Formula 1 is the world’s biggest and most-watched motorsport competition. However, until recently, it has struggled to get a large market share in the United States.
The sport recently announced that it will be hosting a street race on and around the Las Vegas Strip, with cars racing past many of the city’s most famous landmarks. From 2023, visitors to the city will be able to enjoy a unique spectacle in the desert night, with the cars shining under its famous neon lights.
It isn’t the first time F1 has been to the city though. For a brief period in the 1980s, a Grand Prix was held in the car park of Caesars Palace, creating a unique and grueling challenge for the drivers and a strange experience for fans.
With the rise in popularity of the sport thanks to the Netflix show, Drive to Survive, we can expect there to be an electric atmosphere on the Strip when the F1 circus rolls into town.

Roller Coasters
Roller coasters are usually the domain of theme parks, with many of these attractions competing to have the tallest, fastest, and most exciting rides.
However, the city of Las Vegas and the surrounding area have been turned into one giant theme park thanks to a large selection of roller coasters, thrill rides, and other attractions.
This includes several at The Strat, such as a piece of roller coaster track that pivots like a seesaw, creating the sensation that you might fall off the side of the building, and The Big Shot, a launched freefall tower on its roof.
There is also the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York, and the Canyon Blaster at the AdventureDome.
For many visitors, this is an integral part of planning a night out in Vegas because it offers them the chance to experience some of the thrills that can’t be found inside the casinos. Make sure to book tickets if you’re planning a visit!

Venice Outside Italy
Venice is famous the world over for being a city that uses waterways to get around instead of the paved roads that can be found in almost every other place on earth.
The Venetian is a large casino resort in Las Vegas that has been themed around the legendary Italian water city. In addition to the Italian-inspired shops and architecture, you can also find a network of canals that, while not on the same scale as Venice, still offer the opportunity to ride on a gondola.
The gondolas help to create the most authentic experience possible for riders by serenading you with live renditions of romantic tunes as they cruise past replicas of many famous Venetian landmarks.

Football
The most American sport of all is football. It’s a brutal war of attrition between two sides that also requires a lot of technical skill and strategic planning.
The biggest sporting event in the country is the Super Bowl, the final game of the NFL season, which sees more than one third of Americans tune in to watch the winners pick up the Lombardi Trophy.
Las Vegas recently acquired its very own NFL team. The Raiders moved from California to Nevada ahead of the 2021 season in a new purpose-built stadium.
During the season, you will find an electric atmosphere and some great football, the perfect addition to any sports fans Vegas itinerary.
