Welcome to my article on Park City – Utah’s most cozy and charming mountain town. My name is Jose Ibarra. I’m the editor in chief of Horizon Magazine – a lifestyle and business magazine from Central America.
My passion for travel came from my constant desire to reinvent myself. My goal is to always stay away from monotonous days and make every day the best day of my life! I’m also a blogger with my Instagram @spottedbyj.
Six Fabulous Days in Park City
I have always wanted to visit a place with both snow and sports. Recently, I started searching for places to visit like Lake Tahoe, Park City and other spots in Colorado. When I was checking the prices, Park City seemed to be the cheapest place for snow activities, hotels and a plane ticket.
So I decided to gather up some friends and take the trip of a lifetime to kick off 2021! We visited Park City for six days and enjoyed almost all the activities you could do like visiting the Ice Castles, taking a horse sleigh, going skiing, dog sledding, jumping on a snowmobile and more!
Park City – A Cozy Mountain Town
I would describe Park City as a cozy and adventurous place. The town gets you out of your comfort zone by encouraging you to do things that you normally wouldn’t do. Also, the landscapes are like watching an old movie. The Ice Castles are a must and the people of the town are super friendly!
Best Things To Do in Park City
- Go on a dog sledding tour
- Visit Ice Castles (day or night)
- Book a snowmobile adventure
- Spend a couple of hours snow tubing
- Ski at Park City Mountain or Deer Valley
- Shop down the Historic Main Street of Park City
- Walk around the entire town and find hidden gems
- Attend the annual Sundance Film Festival in January
I grew up watching famous people take skiing adventures around the world, so my one special experience in Park City was opting for a snowmobile adventure instead. I had no prior experience with snowmobiling, which is why we decided to make it an unforgettable experience by exploring the picturesque snowy landscapes on the back of a roaring snowmobile. Navigating through the trails and open terrains, the adrenaline rush was unlike anything I had ever experienced.
Understanding the importance of maintaining our snowmobile, we later explored online options for Skidoo Parts. Finding a reliable source for these parts proved to be essential for ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of our snowmobile. It was a practical step that added an unexpected layer of excitement and reliability to our winter escapade in Park City.
Another favorite experience of mine was just walking through the town with my friends. We literally walked all over the town and took photos at the parks, theatres, drank coffee, ate some artisanal cookies, etc. Park City is so cozy – so walking around its quaint streets is like a big hug to the heart.
Recommendation for Best Western
For lodging, I recommend the hotel I stayed in. It has all the amenities including breakfast, jacuzzi, sauna and pool. The name of the hotel is Best Western. It’s not located in the main town but you can get there in eight minutes by car. Walmart, Wholefoods and small restaurants are nearby.
I recommend this hotel because it was cheap and close to everything. But if I ever return to Park City, I will definitely rent a car as the Ubers and Lyfts tend to take too long (around 25-30 minutes of waiting). I recommend renting a car if you don’t already have transport sorted for your visit.
Need to Know Before you Go
Everyone should check out my Instagram for more recommendations. Make sure to book your accommodation and car rental before arriving. You can’t just show up and hope – especially in the middle of winter. Travel there between December and March for epic memories in the snow.
Be sure to also spend a couple of days in Salt Lake City if you are coming from out of state. The city has beautiful buildings, the Cheesecake Factory (for cheesecake lovers) and the Great Salt Lake which is a must-see!
