Hey guys! Welcome to my mini guide on Looking Glass Falls in North Carolina. My name is Ashley and I’m 22 years old. I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina for 13 years and have lived in Waynesville, North Carolina for 9 years. I love traveling around my home state and having new adventures.
My passion for exploring was inspired by the first time I went hiking in high school. My friend invited me to go hiking with her one day and when I got to the top of the mountain, it really opened my eyes to the world around me. I started appreciating nature and wanted to see so much of it.
Then I started adventuring around North Carolina and neighboring states to explore as much as I could. North Carolina is a state that provides many adventures. We have all four seasons – and cities, mountains and beaches.
The thing I love most about living here and exploring all the best spots and hidden gems is that there is always something new to explore, even when it seems like you have covered so much. The beauty of NC never ceases to amaze me. And that is how I felt after visiting Looking Glass Falls.
My Rating of Looking Glass Falls: 10/10!
When I visited Looking Glass Falls recently, I was inspired to go as I wanted to go somewhere that was easy to get to that had a beautiful waterfall and a swimming hole to enjoy. Looking Glass Falls is the perfect spot to visit in the summer for swimming or even just visiting to take photos.
You don’t have to hike a trail to reach the waterfall. There are steps you can walk down to get to the falls and the parking is on the side of the road near the steps. I spent my time there swimming and taking tons of pictures. It’s also a nice spot to bring some food and sit out on the rocks and eat.
I would definitely rate Looking Glass Falls as a 10/10 for natural beauty. I personally think it’s one of the best waterfalls in North Carolina because of its natural beauty, the easy accessibility and because it’s family friendly.
